Design No. 2, and the name is the whole idea: four hundred feet to dead center, and we want it dead or alive. The back is a pen-and-ink etching drawn like an old wanted poster — the batter from behind in the half-second after contact, bat still dropping, ball climbing off the top of the frame. Up front, a small inked "400" on the chest pocket. It runs on a Comfort Colors garment-dyed pocket tee in Natural — undyed cream cotton, so the linework reads like it was drawn straight onto the shirt instead of printed onto it. This one is off the press and on the shelf — pick your size and it ships from Chicago.
